‘An Amazing Debut’ (Sunday Times Culture)

The BBC is rarely wrong with their ‘BBC Sound of...’ – just call it: ’15 for the future’. That's how Royal Blood, Haim, Sam Smith or James Blake readily broke through in the past, and this musical year is sure to be coloured by the winner Years & Years. But also James Bay, Shamir, Raury, Kwabs and Rae Morris. There's just is no escaping it.

She says to be inspired by Kate Bush, Feist and PJ Harvey. She reminds us of Ellie Goulding. Her debut ‘Unguarded’ could already count on quite some support. She's just barely heading into her 20's but was still allowed to go tour with Bombay Circle Club and George Ezra. That's what's known as an ideal start. Now on the planks at AB for the first time.
