Uzoma Hanssens Agwu aka Rasuz is an artist / musician. specialized in reggae but then, incorporated in funk, ragga, R&B and world music. She is based in Brussels Belgium. Her career began in 2002 with first recordings at Manjul Souletie's Humble Ark Studio in Bamako Mali, with Nicaise Essouma a Camerounian as drummer. She worked further more with Frank Mudi a Lagos based musician. Rasuz had collaborated with Seydoni Mali a cultural promotion beside Ortm the Malien Television. She was portrayed as best act many a times amongst her compatriots. Rasuz worked hand in hand with Grand Djembefolas as a Dancer. These include, Mamadou Keita , Soungalo Coulibaly and Juilen Dembele a guitarist. She had worked with the USAID's Organization for the empowerment of the girl - child education, with women as an important image therein. Songs were taught to them as an awareness on the endemic of HIV/Aids. The project was funded by 'The American People.' Rasuz has loads of songs to offer, on sufferings of the voicless women and children from Africa, who might have been left behind, because of economic reasons of war and otherwise, but some how emerged through singing or of playing of the guitar as a hobby to the limelight. She is keen on her debut here in Belgium. She thinks of herself as a person with a great number of interests, in people and learning. She is a global nomad, having travelled extensively through Africa and beyond. She had seen much of the friendly, generous nature of some mid - westerners in W/Africa and the world. She choose time out to attend to international duties in form of further research away from what is trendy today. For Rasuz, time is more important than anything else, as it enhances the smooth achievement of goals. She has diverse interests in what she reads. Her profond love for art and culture had pushed her into the act of creation of wealth for the betterment of all, more especially for the underprivileged in our society.
