Rock and photography, it's always been a successful marriage, rock-photography is an art-form in itself. The AB has invested in musical talent for decades, but with the launch of the brand new site as new multi-media platform it now also wants to give promising young talent the chance to fully flourish. In August 2008, Piet Janssens was selected from more than 200 entrants to be the very first in-house photographer. He has free access to the AB for a year long and, in consultation with AB and the visiting performers, he can take a unique look behind, before and between the AB scenes. All this under the guidance of professional rock-photographer Koen Bauters (De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad Magazine, Poppunt, HUMO, ELLE), who supports and guides Piet with his years of experience.
