Last year TOM HELSEN's album 'Hilite Hotel' was released with the super singles 'Sun In Her Eyes', 'Change Yourself' and 'Easy'. Just recently a singles collection was also released, covering the past 10 years, it's appropriately titled '1998 - 2008'. But Tom is currently also working hard on his fifth studio album with producer David Poltrock. That album will be released this autumn and the ABconcert is the première of the tour which is coupled to that release.

At the age of 19 Tom Helsen already achieved silver in HUMO's Rock Rally (see: the '96 edition that also brought attention to Arid, Novastar and An Pierlé). His previous work (you still cheerfully whistle along to 'When Marvin Calls' and 'Goodbye') provided him with a place on the stage of Rock Werchter, the support program of Dido through Europe and an honourable mention in many end-of-year charts . With 'Sun In Her Eyes', a single from the album 'Hilite Hotel' he's probably scored his biggest hit to date.

KID FEAR is the band around singer-songwriter Lieven Bulckens from Leuven. Begin October the first album will be out, entitled 'The Carnival'. On it we find melancholy ballads as well as surprising up-tempo pop songs. Ryan Adams, Josh Ritter and Bruce Springsteen are never far away, and Milow provides a vocal contribution to the title track.
