Who does Leonard Cohen take his hat off to? On stage even? That’s right, for The Webb Sisters. Or in his own words: 'The Sublime Webb Sisters'! Apparently they’ve even performed with the master about 250 times now. So there are also innumerable fans of Charley and Hattie Webb here in this country too.
The British sisters grew up to be phenomenally sensitive singers and multi-instrumentalists (harp, guitar, mandolin, percussion...). They’ve already toured with Jamie Cullum, James Morrison, Jason Mraz... But ultimately as lustrous guests of Leonard Cohen.
Two EPs, 'The Other Side' and 'Comes In Twos' should now be available and also the album 'Savages' too. But on their very own, very fresh and well filled site you’ll also encounter quite a bit of wonderful work by The Webb Sisters.
International, timeless beauty from the land that also already offered us Virginia Astley, Enya, Hannah Peel or The Unthanks. For those who like to hear their voices and sounds female, harmonious and refined. Don’t miss The Webb Sisters!

Dé surprise was hun eigen versie van ' I want you to want me ' van Cheap Trick - jawel ! - zonder enige versterking van tussen het publiek. Charlie & Hattie, I love you !
