About this concert
An Appointment with Yeats & The Waterboys!
The Waterboys are back! The most recent, ever impressive, occasion in the AB already dates from March 2007. Now Mike Scott & Co are back in full glory with a new sensational CD: 'An Appointment With Mr Yeats'! Yup, poetry to music. But in the capable hands of this supreme folk-rock collective it sounds, more than anything else, like The Waterboys (with extremely good lyrics!?)
This will be 'an evening with The Waterboys' in 2 parts, without support-act: one half with 'a killer set of vintage Waterboys'; the other half mostly containing the new album.
This time The Waterboys are also a renewed, seven strong, band containing 'legendary fiddler Steve Wickham, Irish chanteuse Katie Kim, keyboard ace James Hallawell, lap steel / electric guitar maestro Melvin Duffy, bassman Marc Arciero and drummer Ralph Salmins.' Plus Scott, of course, Mike Scott and we then repeat:
'+ a well-filled, broadly variegated oeuvre + an absolutely, adrenaline drenched live-reputation. The result = a musical must, a concert tip, more than that: the concert top! This in of the most essential folk-rock-roots acts you can experience!' In other words: ‘The Whole Of The Moon’ and much much more!
