Under the title "Pointing the way to new music" AB and the eleven music clubs of the Club Circuit get together this concert season for an exciting series. Together they've selected 10 weekends when on each occasion another club will occupy the AB, while at the very same time the AB goes on location to that visiting club. With this project AB and the Club Circuit want to place some extra emphasis on their good relations.
We're now able to announce the first concert for the exchange between AB and Cactus in Bruges:

In 2006, exciting foursome The Hickey Underworld won the gold medal at HUMO’s Rock Rally. That brought them to all the better national and international stages (including as support to dEUS in France). Fast forward to early 2009. Just as predecessor ‘Mystery Bruise’ , the single ‘Future Words’ is impossible to remove from the airwaves. The debut album produced by Das Pop is finally ready for release and so there's no better reason to place them in full glory on the AB stage.
We'll be opening the evening with American noise band Ponytail, who are currently present on the international press' radar. The name of the album is ‘Ice Cream Spiritual’ and it appeared on the We*Are*Free label that also accommodates Yeasayer. Received an excellent 8,4 out of 10 from Pitchfork Media and is a fresh take on rock, art-pop and noise in the 21st century. Their songs are laced with chaos (think: the impudence of the Japanese scene) and are presented with 2 guitars (no bass), a worn-out drum-kit and the of grunt singer Molly Siegel.
