The uncompromising young punk-rock band from LA, The Bronx, clearly feel very strongly about the real punk tradition: raw and unpolished production, basic chords and pithy political statements. They're sometimes colloquially called Fugazi on speed, and its true that they share a common venomousness with the godfathers of the indie-core. Their sound is removed of any excessive frills, unmistakably hard, loud and unpolished ... just as authentic punk-rock should be. 'Eat your heart out, The Offspring.' The Bronx' third album is expected in stores in autumn of this year.

The Hickey Underworld. Anything but the hot favourite to win the Rock Rally 2006, enthusiastically hailed with beakers by a disgruntled Rock Rally audience. Luckily the foursome didn't let it get to them and 2 years and a series of impressive concerts later their debut album has been realized. They handed the production over to pop-kings Das Pop, not exactly the obvious choice for a noise-rock band. So we're very curious to hear the result.

Extra support-act in Gent for THE BRONX and THE HICKEY UNDERWORLD will be The Rones - who are currently travelling through Belgium at the side of The Hickey Underworld. The Rones just recently released their tremendous debut, titled 'Sinner Songs', with ultra-tight references to Queens Of The Stone Age and other related stoner and heavy glam-rock groups. Have previously won the Limbomania competition and opened the main stage at Pukkelpop this summer.
