For this sold out concert an exchange desk will be opened between 7pm and 8pm. The purpose is to bring people with spare tickets and people who are looking for tickets in contact with each other. So if you want to get rid of tickets of on the contrary are looking for tickets, do not sell and buy on the street, but check with the exchange desk between 7pm and 8pm.

 

Welcome back The Black Keys @ AB! Already immensely popular in 2004, when the ABClub sold out in no time and they grew into the ABBox. Later, in 2006, they effortlessly sold-out that very same ABBox again. Now with their new long-player ‘Brothers’, their first real radio radio hit ‘Tighten Up’ and a scorching visit to Rock Werchter behind them, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney return once again. De Morgen already mentioned the following regarding Rock Werchter: ‘their variant of the blues sounded as it should: raw as a fresh beefsteak, dirtier than an old pervert, and with the energy of freshly loaded batteries. (****)'. ‘Brothers’ is their sixth long-player, recorded in the legendary Muscle Shoals studio (Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett once recorded there), partly produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Tchad Blake. This last connection is a remnant of their hip-hop project BLAKROC, in which they mixed their primary blues with some of the better hip-hop voices, like Mos Def, Q-Tip and RZA. Moreover, on ‘Brothers’ you can hear the unmistakable soul seep in that Dan Auerbach had resound in the music on his first solo album ‘Keep It Hid’.

Yep, de zonovergoten weide van Werchter was niet bepaald het ideale decor voor hun zompige sound, maar het liep wel snor daar op dat reuze podium! Het zal stomen in de AB, wees daar maar zeker van!
