Royal Republic is classic Swedish rock ‘n’ roll. Their funk and post-punk drenched repertoire is to be found on the debut ‘We Are The Royal’ , released here by Roadrunner Records. The quartet came together in Malmö in late 2007 and released a first single in September 2009, entitled ‘All Because Of You’. The album was produced by Anders Hallbäck and the mix was provided by Stefan Glaumann (known from his work for Rammstein, Clawfinger and Apocalyptica). Are you a fan of The Hives or Danko Jones? We'll be opening the evening with local heroes Billy The Kill. Their debut ‘Billy I Kill You’ was released in 2008 and provided them with a place on the stages of Groezrock and also the AB (as one of the support-acts for the legendary Channel Zero six-dayer). The band signed a contract with Roadrunner Records this summer and the single ‘Cold As Ice’ is the forerunner to their second album, to be released in 2011.
