Raphael Saadiq is that American singer-bassist-drummer-guitarist who went along with Prince on his Parade-tour early on and first scored for himself with 'Tony! Toni! Tone!' Later there was 'Lucy Pearl', still to be heard here with that fresh 'Don't Mess With My Man'. There are now three CD's out in his own name, more specifically his most recent, exquisite 'The Way It Is' (on SonyBMG).
