7:00 pm SOUNDTRACK BY: Blackest Ever Black (UK)
Blackest Ever Black is a brand new label from London with just 3 releases to its name (Raime, Tropic Of Cancer,…). Those visiting their site website can immediately sample the mood: dark, mysterious and, above all, intriguing. Their site consists of fantastic photos you can click on to arrive in a parallel musical world ruled by Nico, Dead Can Dance, Nocturnal Emissions and Eyeless In Gaza. In other words: what influences this young label. For the rest: behind the label you'll find respected FACT-journalist Kiran Sande, who'll be doing the honours behind the turntables on this evening.

8:30 pm Demdike Stare (UK)
Demdike Stare – or: the gaze of a witch who died before being tried - is the moniker of two British producers who create an intriguing mix of drones, dubstep and world music. Their leitmotiv is witchcraft and occultism, their music sounds as unpredictable as it is intangible. No surprise then that they also have a skull integrated into their logo. Musically, there's always a nightmare tangibly close at hand. The term witch house suddenly pops up again here. Pitchfork even wrote "Demdike Stare are even more deserving of the 'witch house' tag than Salem." Their latest – highly commended – feat is the triple/collector album ‘Tryptych’ that was released in '10 and immediately awarded an 8.3 by Pitchfork.

9:30 pm Psychologist (UK)
Psychologist – the alter-ego of electronica troubadour Iain Woods from London – first got attention with a somewhat disorienting video clip in which a pregnant man bore a child. The associated song - ‘Comes In Waves’ - went right through you. Psychologist's voice is also penetrating too. A comparison that often arises: James Blake. Read: man behind piano and echoes of dubstep. But Anthony Hegarty and Jeff Buckley are often mentioned too. No wonder though as Psychologist also charmingly covers ‘Song to the Siren’, a Tim Buckley song. Psychologist currently only has one EP out (‘Waves of OK’ ) and he has also only performed once (in the St Matthias Church in London for only 300 people). Psychologist is going to make waves, take our word for it. For the first time in Belgium.

10:30 pm Raime (UK)
Behind Raime you'll find a media shy duo from London, whose rhythms and use of heavy, slow bass are derived from dubstep but in which the influence of 80's industrial music is just as noticeable. Their music is dark and spare – without sounding bare – but is claustrophobic more than anything else. Connections are usually made with names like Shackleton (the innovative dubstep producer) and witch house act Balam Acab. Their first two EPs (on Blackest Ever Black) have now been sold out and to quite some effect: Altered Zones (the little brother of Pitchfork) and Boomkat (“Outstanding!”) proclaim their fan status to all who will listen. Welcome to this ‘Dark Night Of The Soul’.
