As of this week, there is a new feature available on www.abconcerts.be : AB CD, an inventory of just about all the official live CDs that have been recorded over the years in your trusted AB house. From Iggy Pop to Queens Of The Stone Age. From Einstürzende Neubauten to The Black Box Revelation. Just this month too that Radical Slave released 'Damascus', an explosive live-album that this brand new trio recorded in... indeed: the AB. Radical Slave is the new no-wave project of Dirk Swartenbroekx (BUSCEMI), Mauro Pawlowski (dEUS, himself, and a thousand other intriguing projects dear to our heart) and Remo Perotti (ex-Bedtime For Bonzo). Swartenbroekx has had this project in mind for a while and has now seen it realised. New York's no-wave scene (late seventies, early eighties) had a huge influence on the likes of Sonic Youth and the Liars. 'Damascus' contains 8 slices of searing no wave that could be heard in the AB earlier this year, in May at the band's stage debut as opener for Norway's Motorpsycho.
