Adventurous Americana on a timeless album by an American trio to which Bon Iver once belonged

Though Megafaun was once the pride and joy of a just a few music fans, this trio from Durham, North Carolina, has reached a real highpoint with its fourth album. Recorded in the April Base studio, which belongs to former group member Justin Vernon (or Bon Iver), the Cook brothers (Bradley & Phillip) and Joseph Westerlund have managed to embellish their Americana in a refreshing way with heavenly harmonies, inventive electronica and adventurous elements from other genres. Free jazz, delta blues and raw rock ’n roll coexist peacefully on this untitled album and the 14 timeless songs make every listen a pleasure.

Belgium's Geppetto & The Whales are raising eyebrows at the moment with their single ‘Juno’: the result of integrating the delicious sound of Andrew Bird, the almost faultless vocals of Fleet Foxes and the enthusiasm of Mumford & Sons into an original and unique whole.
