"The performance was massively electric ... they must've been focusing on transcendence, sometimes feeling like some mutant Jimi Hendrix. Their guitars were highly rhythmic and their tones mostly sunny, leaving a warm glow to the concrete venue." (Tiny Mix Tapes)

Group Doueh (pronounced: 'Doo-way') hails from Dakhla in Africa, located in the Western Sahara. This collective has been active for a quarter century already and is adored by, say, The Wire or Animal Collective. The latter then also invited them to the All Tomorrows Parties that they will be curating in May. Group Doueh was discovered by Sublime Frequencies (lets just say: the ‘cutting-edge world-music’ label of Alan ‘Sun City Girls’ Bishop), via a song that they picked up somewhere in Morocco on the radio's AM-frequency. Group Doueh have already released three albums: ‘Guitar Music From The Western Sahara’ , ‘Treeg Salaam’ and recently (their most acoustic album to date) 'Beatte Harab'. This is Group Doueh’s European homecoming after they headed out on the road with Omar Souleyman in ’09 and impressed everyone with their ‘rock infused’ show. Group Doueh arrives in Europe as a sextet with, of course, guitar hero Bamaar Salmou (or: 'Doueh') as figurehead.

Support act will be Kaboom Karavan. Kaboom Karavan conceals Belgian duo Bram Bosteels and Stijn Dickel - who just recently released their second album 'Barra Barra' on Miasmah, the prestigious Norwegian label of Erik K Skodvin's (Deaf Center, Svarte Greiner). RifRaf about that: "Their experimental sound-collages bear witness to the better cut and paste work. The mood creation is even slightly phenomenal: dark, warm, musty, old, scary, sultry... A miniature masterpiece".
