Under the title "Pointing the way to new music" AB and the eleven music clubs of the Club Circuit get together this concert season for an exciting series. Together they've selected 10 weekends when on each occasion another club will occupy the AB, while at the very same time the AB goes on location to that visiting club. With this project AB and the Club Circuit want to place some extra emphasis on their good relations.
We are now able to announce first concert for the exchange between AB and De Kreun in Kortrijk:
For strange musical concoctions … the epi-centre would appear to be located in Brooklyn, one of the 5 districts of New York. Just think TV On The Radio, Animal Collective and many more. This time it'sGang Gang Dance's turn to get the psychedelic party started. LZA, BDG, Josh Diamond and Tim Dewit do their thing with improvisation and unlimited inspiration. Think obscure West-African rhythms, electronica from when it was solely the dominion of Jean-Michel Jarre, party music from the Gaza stroke and a million other things. Their fourth studio album ‘Saint Dymphna’ (named after the Irish princess who fled from her crazy father and eventually ended up in our very own Geel) also rightly found a home on the British Warp label.

In 2006 Ansatz Der Machine lifted Belgian indietronica to a higher level with the brilliant album 'The Postman Is A Girl'. 3 years later, a successor is ready. 'Painting Bad Weather On Her Body' is a fine illustration of how Ansatz Der Machine has grown. Although it's Mathijs Bertel's second solo album, the sound of the live band is perfectly integrated. Subtle electronica spiced with violin, saxophone, drum, Rhodes piano, electric guitars and voice. Certainly a unique result based upon good songs, production and virtuosity. Four of them, live on stage with visuals.
DJ Jasper (Bang! music) spins the records. Expect a kaleidoscopic mix of primal psychedelica, avant-gardish no- and new wave, experimental electronica, polished shoegazer-noise, space jazz, cosmic vibes and all sorts of tribal trips.

Last night, after their gig in Paradiso Amsterdam, there was a fire in a warehouse and the backline of GANG GANG DANCE was totally burned. Tourmanager Barbara : "Unfortunately we have to cancell the rest of the tour..."
