A slightly odd double bill in the club with ELENI MANDELL en LIAM FINN.

Eleni Mandell has already appeared here prominently in 2005. Her stage presence immediately proved to be pleasurable. This American songstress feels immensely comfortable live on stage. She presents her seemingly cheerful songs in the manner so enchantingly described on her website: 'people fall in love listening to Eleni Mandell.' In home town L.A. she quite often runs into Chuck E Weiss or Tom Waits. At our end of the world, Arno was already considerably mad about fine Eleni. Her latest CD is called 'Artificial Fire' and will be released here via Sonic RendezVous. Give her a warm welcome!

Liam Finn has just recently released a fiery title too: 'I'll Be Lightning' (via V2). Humo wrote: 'carefully brewing a cocktail with so many ingredients that you can't even categorize it, or it would have to be 'world-pop music' ... irresistibly charming ... deserves heavy airplay ...'. Better To Be is a first catchy single in any case . Oh, and, yes, Liam is the son of Neil and you can hear it in the vocal timbre and the heartwarming sound à la Crowded House (or is it rather Split Enz?)
