2 NIGHTS OF CELEBRATION

Einstürzende Neubauten has been around for 30 years and that's something to be celebrated! In no small way either! Neubauten will be touring Europe to mark this anniversary with a unique two-dayer under the title ’3 Decades of Einstürzende Neubauten. 2 Nights of Celebration’. According to the band: “Concerts will be held in selected cities, but also at locations that are significant to the band.“ The special bond between Neubauten and AB has certainly existed for more than ten years. Neubauten have concerted no less than 5 times in the AB in the period 1997-2008 and they also released the double album ’9-15-2000, Brussels’, a live-recording of the concert that took place here on that date.

Please note: both days are completely different from each other in terms of both form and content. There is a (cheaper) combi-ticket available for the die-hard fans. Only 250 of these tickets will be made available.

3 DECADES OF EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN: SIDE PROGRAM
In the meantime, the EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN two-dayer, planned for THURSDAY 18 + FRIDAY 19 NOVEMBER has been completely sold out. The regular show on FRIDAY 19 NOVEMBER remains a ‘regular show’. Out of respect for the band - who will no doubt play an extremely long set - there will be NO SUPPORT ACT. The programme for the opening-day or, better said, ‘the side program’ is also complete now.

ABCLUB:
7:00 pm – 10:00 pm - SCREENING OF A DVD COMPILED BY THE BAND
Especially for the ‘3 Decades Of Einstürzende Neubauten’ tour, Neubauten have compiled a DVD containing an overview of 30 years of Neubauten. This DVD will be screened 'in a loop' for the entire evening.

8:00 pm – 8:50 pm - DIE KÖRPER OHNE UNS
According to the maker, Abraham Hurtado (who previously also worked with Meg Stuart and La Fura dels Baus), ‘Die Körper Ohne Uns’ is ‘a non-theatrical work, pure movement and choreography’. The music is by Neubauten-member Jochen Arbeit.

9:20 pm – 9:40 pm - BEATING THE DRUM
'Beating The Drum’ is the side-project of Neubauten percussionist N.U. Unruh. Accompanied by Unruh himself, a base-track and visuals, visitors can play along on an installation containing at least 150 and at most 400 drum-objects. Visitors are presented with drumsticks to drum along on the objects. Participative observation.

10:10 pm – 10:50 pm - SHORT NEUBAUTEN PERFORMANCE
As promised, Neubauten will bring this evening a relatively short set of material that they have never played live, songs that they haven't had on their set-list in years or material that the band as such has never played.
