Diagrams is brand new from England but they're a band that shares a past with AB. Diagrams reveals none less than Sam Genders, former face of the experimental folkies Tunng (at the Feeërieën in ’05 and in AB in ’07). Following his departure from Tunng, Genders continued to do writing and production work for the likes of Cibelle, after which he threw himself into Diagrams. The unique and recognizable folk and pop melodies remain but are now injected with electronica-effects, synth bass and low-key funk grooves that remind one of the leftfield pop of Hot Chip, Metronomy and Arthur Russell. Also bearing in mind the necessary dose of Sufjan Stevens and Robert Wyatt. Their debut ‘Black Light’ will be released in January, on the excellent Full Time Hobby label again. As Boomkat wrote: “Diagrams are destined to become the UK's latest art-rock darlings. Catch 'em on the rise.”

Support-act for the previously announced Diagrams (EX-TUNNG) concert will French trio Yeti Lane. Their debut of the same name received an overwhelming 9/10 score from NME. Comparisons have been made with The Shins, Pavement, Herman Düne and even Can.

Excellent performance by both Diagrams and Yeti Lane; Unfortunately very poor attendance (about 60 people). Diagrams released one of the best albums of these last 2 months. They were very friendly, sold and signed their records after the gig. Hope they come back with a larger attendance !
