Do you know 'Koninginnen Van Het Stenen Tijdperk'? You'll be sure to think of them while reading the following!

Brussels: the most beautiful and the ugliest city in the world, the dullest and most colourful, the cheeriest and most sombre, comprehensible and yet unfathomable and highly surreal. A city without a language, or is it? De Fanfaar perform in the Brussels dialect and tinker with and continue to build upon this dying dialect, in doing so they create their own language.
De Fanfaar hasve steadily been establishing their own unique path since 2004 and along the way they also won the likes of the Nederpopprijs (2008), scored a spot in the finals of the Nekkawedstrijd (2005) and in 2009 released their debut album ‘Zonder Compasse’. Singles and video clips like 'Adieu', Televees', ‘Armand Pien’ and 'Ce Soir...' didn't go unnoticed. During the last 6 years, De Fanfaar has established a definite live reputation, with successful visits to diverse stages in Belgium and The Netherlands.
Their 2nd album ‘Glorie Glorie’ will be released on 25 October. The album was produced and recorded by Ace Zec (Customs). He provided a sound that leans more toward Triggerfinger and The Hickey Underworld than to De Mens or Gorki. The album contains guest contributions from the likes of Jan De Wilde and Gianni Marzo (Isbells, Marble Sounds). Fred Kevorkian (The Blackbox Revelation, Triggerfinger) mastered the whole thing. Basically: a bomb of an album that makes you wonder if singing in your native language isn't cooler than singing in English after all! Yesss!
