Superb solo sold-out club 2011, now back with band in the box!
 
Finally returning, now with band! Citizen Cope is still one of America's best kept-secret singer-songwriter talents. Even though he's already toured The States intensely and has released 4 albums since 2002. Ever idiosyncratic, negotiating their way between folk and pop and rock and hip hop, sometimes even with a Carlos Santana, who participated on the stunning 'Sideways' (see too: Santana's Shaman album or that version with and for Sheryl Crow!)
To be situated between Chocolate Genius and G.Love? His real name is hidden in the title of 'The Clarence Greenwood Recordings', a CD from 2004 that immediately won plenty of fans, here too, from beginning to end.
That Cope feels obliged to change record company for every new album doesn’t make it easy to follow his career. So now he's gone and started his own business: Rainwater Recordings, with a first release 'The Rainwater LP', and it does indeed resemble an LP: only 10 songs and those wanting more can listen to them again and again or sing along.
