Camera Obscura from Glasgow has been working on its career for more than 10 years now and today it appeals to more or less the same audience as city-mates Belle & Sebastian. The band has been raising eyebrows with single ‘French Navy’ and their timeless sound on the brilliant brand new album ‘My Maudlin Career’. Here too, as witnessed by impressed press: ‘In Tracyanne Campbell’s voice resounds in fifties sentiment, sixties soul and the glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Years, like the forthright rough edges of indie-poppers Stars and the two-ness of the tender Belle & Sebastian’ (Humo). Support act will be Magic Arm from Britain, the one-man project of Marc Rigelsford from Manchester. Just like Beck, the Beta Band or Adem, he's a strange soul who knows how to fuse folk, rock and sparkling electronica into an auditive colour chart. Highly praised by Sam Beam from Iron & Wine and has previously shared stages with Grizzly Bear, Beirut and James Yorkston.
