Forty years ago, two icons of rock history passed away: Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.
In order to intensely and respectfully commemorate this double date, Beverly Jo Scott will present a unique concert in the AB.
First and foremost, she'll present her sensational and now much-played “Planet Janis”. Produced five years ago for AB/Olympia and with which she has since won thousands of fans all over Europe.
Musical fireworks as a tribute to her mythical “big sister”, a trip through her most impressive songs, her history and her influences (Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Dylan, ...).
For the second part of this concert, BJ invites a few lively guitar legends together on stage to present a steaming tribute to Jimi Hendrix.

BJ Scott receives good company.
None less than Paul Personne (France's most celebrated blues guitarist) and The Black Box Revelation (yes, you read it right!) shall support BJ Scott for her Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix tribute.

This evening certainly sounds promising, with matching décors and video projections.
All of that decked in dedication, humour and passion by a BJ Scott, now finally back in the AB after five years of musical roaming.

If I was 40 years younger than today, I could have visited my friend on her last day on planet Earth. But yesterday on planet Janis, I felt truely that she's still alive. She has plenty of soul mates. And on planet Jimi, the version of Voodoo Child by The Black Box Revelation, well... what can I say... even my friend Neil Young looked at me while listening. I never forget the fire in his eyes at that very special moment!

une soirée mémorable et inoublaible. JANIS JOPLIN et JIMMY Hendrix nous ont envoyés dans notre petite Belgique ,venant DE l'ALABAMA UN SACRE BOUT DE FEMME ET UNE STAR . Merci Beverly pour cette sacrée soirée

Op maandag 27 september is Beverly Jo Scott te gast in De Laatste Show. Zij geeft het beste van zichzelf, en daar kunnen jullie helemaal GRATIS bij zijn! Indien je geïnteresseerd bent, breng dan een bezoekje aan de site van De Laatste Show, waar je kan inschrijven voor het bijwonen van de opname.

Quelle affiche: la plus belle et émouvante voix du rock, soul & blues que j'ai jamais entendue, avec en plus Paul Personne, superbe guitariste (quel son !) et les tonitruants Black Box !!!!! Tous ce beau monde pour rendre hommage à Janis Joplin et Jimi Hendrix ... je ne tiens plus !

't Is gewaagd om naar concerten te gaan van artiesten die artiesten interpreteren die zij en wij tot onze grootste muzikale helden beschouwen. Met BJ Scott hoef ik echter niets te vrezen. 't Is met die onbekende soldaten dat ik er wel minder gerust in ben. Ik reken op een fijne recrutering!
