'Trash Yéyé', that was the title of the previous CD from this versatile and very industrious French performer. This year alone, Benjamin Biolay was producer of the latest CD’s from Julien Clerc ('Où s'en vont les avions?') and Coralie Clément ('Toystore'). As author and composer, he recently wrote for Isabelle Boulay and Elodie Frégé. As arranger, he was responsible for the strings on the latest Carla Bruni CD. As actor, he even played in Stella, a film to be released in the fall of 2009.
But there’s more: it is especially as Benjamin Biolay, singer-musician, that he is an astoundingly creative source. Elegantly navigating between melancholy chanson and urgently longing pop, he provides us with splendid albums like 'Négatif', 'Trash Yéyé', and a brand new CD 'La Superbe', recorded in the ICP in Brussels! And also the winner of 2 Victoires de la Musique!
His vocal timbre and arrangements, his photo poses and live-interpretations... You may think to grand-master Serge Gainsbourg, but that is a great compliment in this case: Benjamin Biolay supplies timeless songs in the fine French tradition of Henri Salvador, Juliette Gréco, Stephan Eicher, Keren Ann, Françoise Hardy, Raphael, Elli Medeiros...

Support act will be fresh French revelation Joyce Jonathan. Has a just recently released first CD: 'Sur Mes Gardes' (via Warner) and also 'Je Ne Sais Pas', an extremely likeable single with a 'Brussels' clip!

Vous avez de la chance les Bruxellois ! à Paris le concert est à 35, 90 euros... Mais Benjamin Biolay est très touchant en concert, il faut venir le voir et surtout l'écouter ! c'est un très grand artiste.

Ai ai ai, ondertussen vorige week één en ander geannuleerd wegens ziekte, en de AB is niet meer het slot van de tournée, maar ziet(pas op, hoofdletters): LES VICTOIRES DE LA MUSIQUE 2010: Artiste interprète masculin de l'année: Benjamin Biolay. Album de l'année: 'La superbe' (Benjamin Biolay). Ja, niet min, Ben!

Sérieusement déplacer le concert du 06/03 au 03/06 le vendredi 13 !!!! pff ^_- C'est la faute à "pas de chance"... on y échappe pas !
