Carhartt presents: Rhymesayers European Tour 2011

Hip-hop collective from Minneapolis undertakes European tour

Atmosphere is the independent hip-hop blueprint that not only put Minneapolis on the map but, what's more, gave the Rhymesayers label a big push to prominence. This year they released their new masterpiece ‘The Family Sign’. Brother Ali is known for his no-nonsense flow and socially engaged lyrics, as can be heard on the likes of albums ‘Us’ and ‘The Undisputed Truth’. We then know Evidence from Dilated Peoples. He's worked with the likes of Kanye West and Aloe Blacc now but on 26 September he'll be releasing his Rhymesayers solo debut ‘Cats & Dogs’. Blueprint is an MC and producer from Ohio who, together with RJD2, is also Soul Position. On this tour he presents work from his ‘Adventures in Counter-Culture’ album. Grieves & Budo are the label's latest offspring and they appeal to both a hip-hop and a rock audience, as evidenced by their shows on the Vans Warped Tour 2011.

This concert is a part of the Minneapolis, Mon Amour project that AB is putting together in the 2011-2012 season. In this concert series based upon the musical heritage of the American city, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of American rock band The Replacements' debut ‘Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash’. A milestone in musical history that the AB makes good use of to present the likes of concerts by Soul Asylum and Grant Hart, this Rhymesayers package, and also an expo on the Twin/Tone label.

ja feitelijk hebt ge gelijk, de reden waarom ik te laat was, ondanks goede planning, lag eerder bij mezelf, wel ja bij de mensen die met me "meegingen". Khad beter toch direct al n ticket gekocht ondanks de grote kans dat ik in m'n eentje zou moeten gaan. Goede les voor de volgende keer

@puzzmif: het concert van vanavond heeft meer dan 3 maand te koop gestaan en is net geen week uitverkocht..perfect gepast dus voor de box.

Wat ook fantastisch zou zijn, is een beetje feedback van de ABticketshop. Ja het is een feestdag, maar je gaat nu toch niet beweren dat er niemand bezig is met het concert van vanavond. Een compromis ontstaat niet uit eenrichtingsverkeer, maar begint bij een uitwisseling van informatie langs weerskanten. En als men zich afvraagt waarom jullie ons minstens een begin van een compromis verschuldigd zijn, dan kan ik enkel zeggen dat een Concertzaal niks is zonder de mensen die komen, en voor de rest is het dus kwestie van klantenservice. En natuurlijk: denk aan de winst die jullie mislopen, dolla dolla bill y'all

Waar is sociale media anders dan voor gemaakt, als een moment zoals dit. Dankzij zijn snelle communicatie is het mogelijk dat er vanavond geen extra winst zou worden misgelopen. Maar vooral nog meer: dat mensen een mogelijkheid krijgen om toch nog datgene te kunnen gaan meemaken waar ze al zo lang op hebben gewacht. En men dus een leuke avond gunt aan alle fans. Met andere woorden: Moven naar de grote zaal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
