The new Animals as Leaders album ‘Weightless’ has just recently been released. Tosin Abasi, the guitarist with 8 snares, already made a big impression upon a broad audience with his former band Reflux (from Washington, DC) - that was certainly also due to the uninterrupted touring. Under the name Animals As Leaders, he has made an album full of progressive rock with electronica and ambient influences. But Abasi would like to make clear that it really is about a real band, with 2nd guitarist Javier Reyes and previous Animosity drummer Navene Koperweis. This virtuoso instrumental concert is definitely something for fans of Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan and Tool.

Musth, that quintet from Leuven/Brussels, was formed a number of years ago out of a love for post-core/post-rock and progressive hardcore. Following the release of a well-received mini CD and a debut album, they're currently writing new songs for the successor ‘Padjelanta’ but, even so, they're happy to take the time to drop into the AB. For those who like references: a bit of Isis, the dark vibe of Cult of Luna and the dynamic melodies of Baroness, all thrown into a mixer and topped with a thick layer of themselves.
