AB BOTA, the 4th edition of this unique collaboration between AB and Bota!
Just to be clear: on Friday 26 February you should be sure to head to AB for Absynthe Minded and Joy. Then on Saturday 27 February be sure to pop over to the Bota for The Van Jets and Lyenn.
The shows commence at 7pm. Tickets are 15 euro in presale and 18 euro at the door, but of course you'll be opting for the COMBI-TICKET for both days at 18 euro in presale. Tickets for Friday can be purchased in the AB. Tickets for Saturday can be purchased in the Bota. Combi-tickets are available at both AB and Bota!

Absynthe Minded
Back again but this time as main drawcard for this fourth edition of ABBota. This show is to be a highlight following on from a substantial international, certainly also French, success story. Four albums further; with masterful hits like 'My Heroics, Pt One' and 'Envoi'; with a sizeable CD stunt via Humo; with surely a full Vooruit in 'their' Gent this time again too; but also with immense interest from the likes of Radio Nova in France, where they also went to record their untitled but humorously packaged fourth CD (with the Jean Lamoot who also so beautifully produced Noir Désir or Girls In Hawaii). Strong, handsome & healthy!

Joy
The new band around Marc Huyghens from, yup, Venus. Venus was the ground-breaking band that achieved a decade of artistically credible success, even as far as France and Italy, with their highly original sound and artistic presentation. Their parting concert was held in the AB in March 2007 but their countless fans will of course also remember their visit to Les Nuits du Botanique and the impressive The Man Who Was Already Dead project. But enough about Venus, we now await Joy!

Beetje teleurstellend verslagje van DaMusic (vooral omdat ik het niet openkrijg.) En meteen even melden dat op zaterdag in de Bota, alles mooi was van Mary & Me, Mièle, The Bear That Wasn't... Met Team William als de amusantsten, Lyenn de intensten, maar vooral The Van Jets de stevigste, spetterendste retestrakke toprockset! Jakkes & jeetje!
