Parachute is a five-member pop band hailing from Charlottesville, Virginia, currently signed to Mercury Records. According to Songfacts, the Pop/Rock act began as Sparky's Flaw whilst a four piece at high school and after Nate McFarland joined the band once they'd gone on to college, the quintet changed their name to Parachute. The band's first major label release, Losing Sleep, debuted exclusively on iTunes on May 2009.
