A funky British mixture of indie-rock & electro-pop!
Hipsters in tight leather jackets who raced to the top of the British charts with their self-titled debut from 2013 and got just about every British girl's heart beating faster along the way. With song titles like ‘Sex’, ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Girls’, the Mancunians of The 1975 made clear to us where the priorities lie and their funky mishmash of indie-rock and electro-pop swings like a boob.
The polished sound, grand and so perfectly suited to festival stages and arenas, was made to measure for them by producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, The Kooks). No surprise then that, after playing a full Trix Club in March ’14, they will now also be present on the field at Werchter this summer. The fans of Bastille, The Kooks and Imagine Dragons are sure to have found another sweetheart in the form of The 1975!
