A much-savoured transformation on their third release!
From furious, heavily distorted post-punk to dark, sometimes humour riddled (forerunner ‘The Lord’s Favorite’!), alternative rock that heavily flirts with The Libertines and Nick Cave. This tour de force can be ascribed to Iceage, from Denmark, who are clearly exploring new musical horizons with their third release ‘Plowing Into The Field Of Love’. Pitchfork describes it more lyrically: “they’ve traded vodka for whiskey and embraced the joy of country twang, a better backdrop for singer Elias Rønnenfelt to channel his inner Nick Cave against”.
