Singer-songwriter splendor from former The Voice finalist
‘Back Where My World Began!
Rarely a song title has spoken more for an album.
It’s been quite a journey, but now it’s time to put my face in the light.’
(Glenn Claes)
Limburg’s Glenn Claes became famous in 2012 when he won the first edition of The Voice van Vlaanderen. Striking and unprecedented: Koen Wauters, Natalia, Jasper Steverlinck as well as Alex Callier pushed the button in the first 10 seconds of his version of ‘I Shot The Sheriff’ by Bob Marley. Equally conspicuous: as diverse as the jury was, so diverse were the radio stations that have instantly entered his single ‘Back Where My World Began’ into A-rotation over the past weeks. Read: Studio Brussel, Radio 1, Radio 2 as well as MNM are open to Glenn Claes. On his debut, Claes returns to the essence: the pure songwritership that instantly reminds us of Ben Howard. And that is as damned fine compliment!
