In 2002 the issue of the environment was already included in the general management policies of the AB, via the project "eco-dynamic enterprise" from the Brussels Institute for Environmental Management.  Aside from the protection of the environment, such environmental management also has pure economic advantages. Via this project we guarantee, amongst other things, supervision and reduction of water use, rational use of electrical and electronic equipment, thorough technical maintenance, sensible management of space, sorted waste selection, etc...

Over the last few years all staff have been made more aware of their responsibility by being involved in the eco-management project “eco-team at work“.  Through sensitisation and information they’ve learned how to behave in a more environmentally conscious manner.
In short, in terms of eco-dynamic enterprise, AB is one of the first cultural organizations in the Brussels Region that explicitly takes the environment into account in its daily management, via incremental improvement in all environmental areas.

The entirety of the initiatives taken and the plans established for the future were just recently honoured by the Brussels Institute for Environmental Management, for the third time in a row, with two stars for the label “Eco-Dynamic Enterprise”.
